Meet Coach Aaron Gonzales
Hi, I’m Aaron Gonzales, but you can call me Coach Aaron. I got involved in coaching baseball and softball back in 2014 when my kids were playing rec ball. That’s where it all started, and I’ve loved being part of youth sports ever since. I spent five years coaching 10U and 13U teams with Gray County rec ball, and now I’m excited to bring that experience to the DC Outlaws.

Coaching Philosophy and Style
When it comes to coaching, I believe that teamwork is the key to success. That’s my philosophy, and it’s something I emphasize with all of my players. I also want the kids to remember that, at the end of the day, it’s just a game, and the most important thing is to have fun. When they enjoy the game, that’s when they play their best.

Memorable Moments and Achievements
One of the things I enjoy most about coaching is seeing the players I’ve worked with over the years continue to grow. Teaching them the fundamentals and watching them put it all together on the field is really rewarding. Seeing them succeed as a team is what makes me proud.

Personal Insights
Outside of coaching, I love riding motorcycles and playing coed softball. Something you might not know about me is that I love to cook! Whether it’s grilling up something on the weekend or trying new recipes, it’s one of my favorite ways to unwind.

Community and Engagement
For me, community involvement is essential in youth sports. It’s more than just playing games — it’s about creating a supportive environment where kids can grow and thrive. When the community comes together to support our young athletes, it gives them a sense of pride and motivation. I try to engage with the community by building relationships with parents, local businesses, and other organizations. It’s important to me that we provide a safe and fun space for kids to learn, and with strong community backing, we can make a lasting impact on their lives both on and off the field.

Fun and Personal Touch
Outside of coaching, I like to keep things exciting and active. I enjoy riding motorcycles, which gives me a thrill and a sense of freedom when I’m off the field. I also play coed softball to stay connected to the game and continue having fun with it. One thing you might not know about me is that I love to cook! Whether it’s grilling up a big meal for my family or trying out new recipes, it’s a hobby I really enjoy. For me, it’s important to find balance between my passion for coaching and the things I love to do in my personal life.

Vision and Future
My goals for the DC Outlaws this season are simple — I want to help the team play better together and, of course, win some ball games! In the long run, I want to see the team continue to grow and succeed. My advice for young athletes is this: never say you can’t do something. If you work hard and keep pushing, you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to.
